About RenoMatch

RenoMatch operates a digital platform that facilitates connections between homeowners seeking renovation services and qualified contractors across Canada. We are a Canadian company providing facilitation services exclusively within Canada, governed by Canadian law.

1. Definitions

"Platform" - the RenoMatch website and related services

"Facilitation Services" - our service of connecting homeowners with contractors

"User" - any person using our Platform, including homeowners and contractors

"Project Request" - a homeowner's request for contractor services submitted through our Platform

"Services Agreement" - the direct contract between homeowner and contractor for renovation work

2. Acceptance and Eligibility

By using RenoMatch, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements under Canadian law. If using our Platform on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

3. Our Facilitation Services

How it Works: When you submit a Project Request, we identify and connect you with contractors who may be able to fulfill your requirements. We provide contractor contact details and facilitate initial introductions at no cost to homeowners.

Important Limitation: RenoMatch acts solely as a facilitator. We do not provide renovation services, employ contractors, or guarantee contractor performance. Any Services Agreement you enter into is directly between you and the contractor.

4. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information
  • Use the Platform only for legitimate renovation project needs
  • Comply with all applicable Canadian federal, provincial, and local laws
  • Not misuse, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our Platform
  • Not submit false, misleading, or spam requests
  • Respect the intellectual property rights of RenoMatch and others
  • Conduct your own due diligence before engaging any contractor

5. Contractor Matching and Verification

While we strive to connect you with qualified contractors, RenoMatch makes no representations or warranties regarding contractor qualifications, licensing, insurance, or ability to complete work. We strongly recommend you:

  • Verify contractor licenses and insurance independently
  • Check references and review past work
  • Obtain multiple quotes and written contracts
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes and permit requirements

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with Canadian privacy legislation including PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act). By using our Platform, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

You may not use our Platform to:

  • Post illegal, harmful, threatening, or offensive content
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or hate speech
  • Violate any person's privacy or intellectual property rights

  • Attempt to circumvent our Platform to avoid fees
  • Create false accounts or impersonate others

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Platform Provided "As Is": Our Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, RenoMatch's total liability to you shall not exceed $100 CAD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Third-Party Actions: We are not responsible for the actions, omissions, or performance of contractors or other third parties. Any disputes regarding renovation work must be resolved directly with the contractor.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold RenoMatch harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our Platform, violation of these terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our Platform immediately, without notice, if you breach these terms or engage in conduct we deem harmful to our Platform or other users. You may discontinue use at any time by ceasing to access our Platform.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
